Analog Film Comeback

My friend Ryan Day Thompson is raising collateral for an interesting analog photography project, complete with essays.
Judging by his landscape work to date—http://www.ryandaylandscapes.com—I imagine it will be exceptional.

Wedding: Danny & Brooke

I especially enjoyed this wedding. Thanks are owed to Brooke for being a good sport and climbing up the shelves.

Once Upon a Wedding: Kevin & Katrina

I had the fantastic pleasure of photographing an old friend's wedding last month. Their theme was one I can appreciate, being pretty bookish myself. I do wish them a “happily ever after.” See the rest after the jump...

Wedding: Chris & Emily

Earlier this year I shot a lovely couple's engagement photos—plus their beautiful chocolate lab. Chris and Emily were apparently happy with the results, since they decided to fly me out for their Caribbean wedding on St. Maartin. I had a wonderful time, no surprise. It was great to see them crown their relationship with a lasting union not only of themselves, but of their families.

Here's a preview gallery of one-hundred of their final images (out of over four-hundred color files, plus the same in monochrome). It is impossible for any photographer to capture every moment from every angle, let alone under the constraints and spontaneity of a wedding. I therefore present to you my sincere attempt to record a beautiful impression of their most meaningful day. And I have to say, I'm quite pleased.

Wedding: Jeffrey & Danielle

Here are just some of the whole raft of images from this lovely couple's wedding in Georgia. See the rest here...

Jeffrey & Danielle: Engagements

This fine couple had me to Georgia for their wedding. Not only was I treated with genuine Southern hospitality, but they were also relaxed, charming, and introduced me to Atlanta's Best, for which I am forever grateful. See the rest here...

Wedding: Jake & Kristen

These two are dear friends of mine, so I was beyond thrilled for the opportunity to photograph their day. Here are just a few from their several hundreds. More after the jump...

Romantics — Eddie & Paige

This lovely couple gave me a tour of Atlanta for their session, complete with a climb up Stone Mountain.
Obviously, we had a good time. See the rest after the jump...

Engagement: CHRIS & EMILY

This was my first romantic lifestyle shoot incorporating a dog. Thankfully Coco was beautiful and very well mannered.
Here are more of the images from our shoot, enjoy!

WEDDING: Kyle & Angela

This lovely couple was blessed with a rainy wedding day, something of a rarity here in sunny San Diego. We still wanted a natural look for the portraits, so I scouted locations the day before and found the underpass of the 5 freeway. This provided excellent cover from the rain while still appearing to be outside. The weather let up for a bit by the beach, too! See the rest...

Don & Jennifer — Part I: Prep & Ceremony

Here is Part I of Don & Jennifer's beautiful vow renewal celebration, commemorating twenty-five years of marriage!
I was honored to document the day. Here are just some of the hundreds of photos.
Make sure to see Part II as well, which includes the reception.

Don & Jennifer — Part II: Reception

Here is Part II of Don & Jennifer's beautiful vow renewal celebration.
Make sure to see Part I, which includes getting ready and the ceremony itself. Thanks for looking!

Timothy & Alison's Engagement

We had a lovely time shooting. I didn't have to ask them to be cute, they just were. See the rest...

Engagement: Kyle & Angela

Our session took us on adventures to San Juan Capistrano and the San Clemente pier in Orange County, California.
See the rest here. Hope you enjoy them!

Wedding: John & Laura

Upon rolling up to the Thursday Club, a gorgeous little event hall in Point Loma, California, I realized that I had been there before. In 2006 I shot a wedding there and, among so many other locations around the country, had forgotten the name of the place. Well, it was a treat to shoot there again! Here are some highlights from John and Laura's beautiful celebration. Thanks again to the bride and groom, and their families and friends, for preferring my services and being so friendly.
