TIP: Great Travel Case for Compacts, Lenses & Electronics.

I didn't think of this myself, but I've benefited from the genius who did...

Since I backpack and hike a lot, not to mention carry a camera everywhere, I wanted a case that's easy to access and protects the camera well. Solution: Rock Climbing Chalk Bags! The outside is durable, the inside is lined with VERY soft material, and there is a pinch-locking cinch cord to close it securely. They come in all sorts of styles, even plain black, and are about $15 at the local outdoors store. Not bad!

This method works out great for the Canon G series, and even fits a Leica M. I've also used chalk bags to carry SLR lenses, for which it is ideal. I could see myself using multiple bags for a GPS and other kit, since I dislike having bulky stuff in my pockets. Awesome product!
